## Blast Off to Fun: Engaging Preschool Space Activities

## DIY Rocket Launch
**Materials:**

2. Cut out fins from construction paper and attach them to the bottom of the rockets.

## Moon Crater Experiment
**Materials:**
* Tray or large bowl
* Flour
* Water
* Small ball (marble, golf ball, etc.)
**Instructions:**
1. Mix flour and water to create a dough-like consistency. Spread the mixture evenly in the tray.
2. Talk about how craters are formed on the moon by asteroids hitting its surface.
3. Let the preschoolers drop the ball onto the flour mixture to create craters. Observe the different sizes and shapes of craters they make.
## Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Sensory Bin
**Materials:**
* Large bin or tub
* Dried beans or rice
* Star-shaped objects (plastic, wooden, foam)
* Small scoops and cups
**Instructions:**
1. Fill the bin with dried beans or rice.
2. Hide star-shaped objects in the bin.
3. Encourage the preschoolers to scoop, pour, and dig through the bin to find the hidden stars.
